70's Back to School

Mrs CC came in at the weekend with one of those compilations which she picked up for a couple of quid in Oxfam in Troon

70's Back to School is a 3 CD  compilation containing 60 tracks. I'm fairly confident that about 90% of them will be familiar to most of you. I know my demographics.

CD 1 concentrates on disco and soul lite, CD 2 is more pop with CD3 getting ever so slightly rocky.

Chances are you will not like everything on it. I certainly don't  but the reasonably good probably outweighs the terribly bad.

Here's atrack from each CD for you (Yes Sir, I Can Boogie is omitted as it featured very recently)

Odyssey - Native New Yorker

David Essex - Gonna Make You a Star

Lulu - The Man Who Sold the World

    1. You could have Christie Yellow River!| CLout Substitute or Billy Ocean Red Light Spells Danger. The remaining tracks are not the greatest.....

  4. Ignore all those David Essex naysayers - Gonna Make You A Star is a great track. Well, when I say great, I mean it's pretty good. Actually, no, scrub that, it's OK as far as pop songs go.
