Mrs CC came in at the weekend with one of those compilations which she picked up for a couple of quid in Oxfam in Troon
70's Back to School is a 3 CD compilation containing 60 tracks. I'm fairly confident that about 90% of them will be familiar to most of you. I know my demographics.
CD 1 concentrates on disco and soul lite, CD 2 is more pop with CD3 getting ever so slightly rocky.
Chances are you will not like everything on it. I certainly don't but the reasonably good probably outweighs the terribly bad.
Here's atrack from each CD for you (Yes Sir, I Can Boogie is omitted as it featured very recently)
You've got 60 tracks to choose from. SIXTY. ANd you chose David Essex?
ReplyDeleteYou should see some of the others on Disc 2!
DeleteI'm with George on this one. Sorry.
Deletethe other 19 were worse? That is impossible. Tiem for some reasearch
Delete1 from 20 as opposed to 1 from 60 as it was one from each disc
ReplyDeleteYou could have Christie Yellow River!| CLout Substitute or Billy Ocean Red Light Spells Danger. The remaining tracks are not the greatest.....
DeleteClout was a contender
DeleteDid Val compile this? If so, she's done a great job
ReplyDeleteIgnore all those David Essex naysayers - Gonna Make You A Star is a great track. Well, when I say great, I mean it's pretty good. Actually, no, scrub that, it's OK as far as pop songs go.
