Maybe the first song will change all that as it is a first for CMM - some traditional morna music from Cape Verde.
Mayra Andrade was born in Cuba to Cape Verdean parents and now lives and works in Paris. This is the title track from her 2009 album Storia Storia
Mayra is followed by some bluegrass courtesy of Alecia Nugent from her album Hillbilly Goddess on Rounder Records.
