Disc 2 - Cropredy Festival August 1987
I've been looking over the list of folk who have played at Cropredy over the years here and it is quiet impressive. 1987 saw Gordon Giltrap, John Martyn & Danny Thompson and Chickenshack amongst others. I should imagine that it is a rite of passage for folk minded acts to tick off an appearance.
Fairport Convention traditionally end the Festival/Convention on the last night (well that's only fair) when they are joined on stage by "Friends" In 1987 the Friends included Ralph McTell and June Tabor as well as Ian Anderson and Martin Berrie from Jethro Tull (calm down George!)
Here are John the Gun with June Tabor on lead vocals and Bridge of Sighs with Ralph McTell doing the honours.
I haven't got round to listening to disc 3 which is a DVD interview with Simon Nicol and Dave Pegg yet!
