Mick Jones surely needs no intoduction. Guitarist with the Clash, front man of Big Audio Dynamite and collaborator with Aztec Camera on Good Morning Britain to name but a few of his many guises.Long Island is a song from the soundtrack to the 1993 film Amongst Friends. Mick appears on four of the tracks to the soundtrack which gets a measely 2 out of 5 from Allmusic.
Salena Jones is an American jazz and caberet singer who originally appeared under her original name Joan Shaw until the mid 60s. She then moved to England and performed jazz and R&B as Salena Jones
I'm afraid that I can't find much information at all about Devon "Evan" Jones other than he released this reggae number. Any additional information will be gratefully received.
I checked in at Ernie's place to see if it came from him and discovered that he had come up with this idea for a post as for back as June 2016 and which I commented on at the time. However I can assure you that there has been no plagiarim - honest!

I had forgotten all about that. And I don't know know anything about Evan Jones, it seems this may be his only recording. It was a Lee Perry production and one possibility is that it is a pseudonym for someone who was technically under contract to another studio.
