For a wee while I thought about going into denial and then I released that I was a year nearer to retiring and getting my pension.
I got myself into a bit of a state thinking what to put on today.
I've done birthday songs, artists who share my birthday and my birthday number songs in the vinyl and CD section.
So this year I finally decided to see who was number1 in the UK and US in 1961 and it looks as though I have come up with a couple of reasonably good numbers

ReplyDeleteMany happy returns, CC. I was born under the sign of "Wayward Wind" by Frank Ifield. I never thought it was appropriate, but now I'm in my mid 50s its relevance is all too obvious all too often, especially after a beer or two.

ReplyDeleteAnyway, even before I scrolled down to see what your pick would be I just knew it would be The Everly Brothers. They were at No. 1 with Cathy's Clown when I was born in '60 and with Walk Right Back when Mr WIAA was born in March '61 so wasn't surprised at all - It's a wonder there aren't even more men called Phil and Dons of our vintage!
