The First Record Played in 2017

At this time of the year I often think that I should try and keep a log of all the records  played in the year.
I never do safe in the knowledge that I would give up after about a week.

If I was to do so for 2017 the first record would be Catching a Tiger by Lissie followed swiftly by Traces  from Karine Polwart, If Wishes Were Horses by Kris Drever and Grit by Martyn Bennett.

Not a bad way to kick start the year I'm sure you'll agree

Lissie - Bully

Lissie - Little Lovin'

  1. A nice little album I actually found in a charity shop a couple of years bzck (Lissie). Should dig that out and give it another spin.

    1. I'm expecting something new tomorrow, not just a re-post of this.

  3. Bully - one of the best tracks of the last ten years. Simply brilliant.

  4. I don't recall bumping to Lissie or her music before today, which is clearly a sizeable oversight on my part. Both of these tunes are great, but 'Bully' is particularly wonderful. Is all her stuff this good?

    2. I posted this track a couple years back, and more recently posted this:

The first album is the best by far, the others have been patchy, but there's some good stuff on them nonetheless.
