This may well be the last, or one of the last in this series. Not because I've run out of material, more I have run out of steam. It may well be revisited at a later date.
Country royalty today in the form of June Carter Cash -daughter of Maybelle and Ezra Carter of Carter Family fame, member of Mother Maybelle and the Carter Sisters , ex-wife of Carl Smith, wife of Johnny Cash, step-mother of Rosanne Cash and mother of Carlene Carter. Oh, and a distant cousin of President Jimmy Carter to boot.
Wildwood Flower was her last studio album released in September 2003 four months after her death and only a few days before the death of Johnny. Recorded when she was 72.
