I stumbled across their second album 1983's Waiting whilst looking for something else, played it, liked it and thought I would share it with you.

Consisting as you are all aware of three ex-Specials namely Terry Hall, Neville Staple and Lynval Golding.
You may not be aware (I wasn't) that the album was produced by David Byrne

ReplyDeleteLove Our both that version of Lips are Sealed and the Go-Go's one too. In fact I saw the Go-Gos support The Specials down in Bournemouth in 1980 and it was a very enjoyable double bill. Great new wave pop!

ReplyDelete'Waiting' is a great LP. I saw Fun Boy Three at the Hammersmith Palais on the tour for this album and well remember Terry Hall's withering sarcasm to the audience between songs. 'Thank you.....you're so sincere....'
