Fun Boy Three - a band with three names.
I stumbled across their second album 1983's Waiting whilst looking for something else, played it, liked it and thought I would share it with you.
As Wiki points out Fun Boy Three were a short lived but successful new wave(?) pop band (my exclamation mark
Consisting as you are all aware of three ex-Specials namely Terry Hall, Neville Staple and Lynval Golding.
You may not be aware (I wasn't) that the album was produced by David Byrne
It's not included on the album but because I am a nice bloke and I like you I'm throwing in a blogger's favourite the Urdu version of Our Lips Are Sealed free gratis and for nothing.

Should probably have featured another Fun Boy Three number todayReplyDelete
I got that covered, CC! And Our Lips Are Sealed is one of the greatest record ever committed to vinyl.ReplyDelete
Love Our both that version of Lips are Sealed and the Go-Go's one too. In fact I saw the Go-Gos support The Specials down in Bournemouth in 1980 and it was a very enjoyable double bill. Great new wave pop!ReplyDelete
Great songs for today - Loved Fun Boy Three.ReplyDelete
Not sure about the Urdu version, it's the original for me!
Yeah, the appropriate FB3 song today would have to be 'The More I See (The Less I Believe).' Over here in the States, anyway.ReplyDelete
I used "Lunatics" for my Brexit post, didn't want to repeat myself.ReplyDelete
'Waiting' is a great LP. I saw Fun Boy Three at the Hammersmith Palais on the tour for this album and well remember Terry Hall's withering sarcasm to the audience between songs. 'Thank you.....you're so sincere....'ReplyDelete
