We are off to Sheffield today to catch up with
Martyn, Ian and Glenn collectively known as
synth pop band
Heaven 17.
A song from each of their two classic albums P
enthouse and Pavement and
The Luxury Gap.
Sadly still treading the Retro boards
Heaven 17 -Height of the Fighting (He-la-hu)
Heaven 17 - Come Live With Me
Come Live With Me is a great song but the lyrics would attract the attention of Operation Yewtree if it were released today

Indeed- I swithered before posting it
DeleteSheffield, Edinburgh, London... all seemed like such exotic locales when I saw those names on the cover of Penthouse and Pavement as a lad. Hope the trip is going well.
ReplyDeleteI'm from Sheffield - exotic locale ha ha - forgive me for missing any irony in your comment Brian. Sheffield's 70s industrial sound (Artery, Cabaret Voltaire, Clock DVA, Comsat Angel etc) passed me by somehow - rectified later. It is a big city though. Let's just say, that era passed me by in a bit of a blur!
