Groovy Baby
We have returned with a mish mash of stuff for your listening "pleasure".
Some good others perhaps not too good. In no particular order.
Talking of mish mashes that would be a pretty good description for the tracks on Austin Powers - the Original Soundtrack picked up for 50p in the Community Shop in Ullapool.
It is a lot better than I thought it would be albeit that for every Cardigans there is a Mike Flowers Pop.
I was pleasantly surprised when the first song on the CD turned out to be by Edwyn Collins. We visited Helmsdale where he stays on our travels but sadly didn't bump into him.
More shagtastic tunes tomorrow.
Edwyn Collins - The Magic Piper (Of Love)
Sergio Mendes & Brasil '66 - Mas Que Nada

Are you saying that you went on holiday to stalk Edwyn Collins
ReplyDeleteNot as such but we probably wouldn't have gone as far north as Helmsdale but for the connection.
DeleteLovely drive up and a nice little village
splendid tune by EC.
ReplyDeleteGood to hear that you managed to pick up a few additions to the CCM library whilst on your hols. My last post was about Edwyn Collins and I mentioned that he now lived on the family croft in Helmsdale - Didn't realise you'd be stalking him!
ReplyDeleteI've just seen where Helsmdale is. That is north! Did you see the Emigrants Monument?
ReplyDeleteNope we weren't there that long
DeleteQuick cuppa and back down the road seeing as how Edwyn wasn't in!
Did see the Duke of Sutherland of Highland Clearances fame's statue
Solid soundtrack, CC. Even has my beloved Wondermints and dream girl Susanna Hoffs on there too! Pound for pound, though, Carnival from the Cardigans is the best song on there.
