Some Solo Sam Sunday Soul
Before you get too excited this is not the return of the Sunday Soul series - rather it is some soul posted on a Sunday. Glad we cleared that one up.
Today Dave gets a well deserved rest as Sam takes centre stage. Yup it is the great Sam Moore with his "lost" solo album Plenty Good Lovin'
Originally recorded in 1970 for a variety of reasons it was not until 2002 that it finally saw the light of day.
Mostly consisting of covers the first I have selected Stop has previously appeared on a Sam and Dave anthology.
The second is a quite magnificent rendition of Clay Hammond's Part Time Love.
