Some Sunday Soul
Roberta Flack has graced the pages of CCM before in the illustrious company of Donny Hathaway.
Here she is appearing in her own right.
You can't post Roberta without featuring her killer version of Ewan MacColl's The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face. It won her a Grammy as Record of the Year in 1973 and I suspect that Kirsty's da would be rightly proud of that. She followed that up with Record of the Year in 1974 with Killing Me Softly With His Song.
Good though that is I have opted for her take on Carole King and Gerry Goffin's Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow.
Apropos of nothing, her middle name is Cleopatra.
More Soul next Sunday
