Vintage Country Vinyl - Webb Pierce
This week's Vintage Country Vinyl artist is the man with the guitar shaped swimming pool honky tonk artist Mr Webb Pierce.
He graces one side of an album with the previously featured Jimmy Dean on the other side.
The man who had more number one hits than any other country artist in the 1950s
Best known for In the Jailhouse Now and the man who wrote the epic There Stands the Glass.
Needless to say neither of those feature today.
There is however a song about Panhandles just to please George.
Not content with a tacky swimming pool Webb also had a honky town car. Those small circular things are silver dollars!
He died in 1991 aged 69
More of the same next Sunday
Webb Pierce - New Panhandle Rag
Webb Pierce - Jinx in Love
