I am between Saturday series at the moment. Any suggestions welcomed. Nothing too strenuous mind as it is the weekend after all.
In the interim here are the
Cramps no strangers to strenuous music with some of their unique punky psychobilly.
Featuring the husband and wife team of
Poison Ivy and the sadly departed

Surfin' Bird - what an absolutely splendid racket
The Cramps - Human Fly
The Cramps - Surfin' Bird
God, I love the Cramps. Honest, no frills rock n roll
ReplyDeleteDrew said it. Two of their best without question.
ReplyDeleteA joyous noise - Lord love 'em!
ReplyDeleteThe Cramps. Have you been raiding your brother's record collection?
ReplyDeleteSeries. What about Songs my Brother likes (ie your brother)? Which would be infiintely better than if it was Songs MY brother likes, all you would get would be the Alan Parsons Project, The Beatles and ELOs War Of The Worlds.
Believe it or not this is one of mine. Off the Bone a charity shop acquisition
DeleteYou can't beat the short sharp shock of the Cramps.
ReplyDeleteHow about a Cramps series? You'd get no quibbles from these quarters...
ReplyDeleteNot sure if I have enough material - but best suggestion so far!
DeleteNonsense.
DeleteWhen Drew had the Cramps the other day (ouch!), I said to myself, "self, when you get to the Cramps in your vinyl collection, there is no way you're going to pass up on Human Fly." Great minds think alike. The cover of Surfin' Bird is one of my favorites too. Fortunately for me, there are plenty of other Cramps songs in the sea. A little behind in my reading and catching up today. Great week of posts, sir.
