Triplets

I have been enjoying listening to Twilight Override the current triple album by Jeff Tweedy. I was put of going to see him in concert recently given the price of the tickets and assumed that it would be a similar tale  buying the vinyl version.

Imagine my surprise when it popped up on the HMV On Line site at a pretty reasonable price and I duly pounced... This was doubly surprising given I was in an HMV shop of Saturday where the prices were quite franky ridiculous.

It got me thinking of other triple albums I have (excluding CD compilations). I think there are four:

Sandinista by The Clash on CD

69 Love Songs by The Magnetic Fields on CD

A battered copy of All Things Must Pass by George Harrison courtesy on Val's Vinyl

And a live album by the Dutch band NITS called urk  here. I've no idea how this one came into my possession and I'm not sure that I've ever played it

Jeff Tweedy - Lou Reed Was My

The Clash - The Magnificent Seven

The Magnetic Fields -Papa Was a Rodeo

George Harrison - If Not For You

  1. "Urk" is far from my favourite Nits album, but should you choose to explore their impressive discography, you couldn't go wrong with their new wave trilogy ("Tent", "New flat" and "Work"), or later "Omsk", "In the Dutch mountains" and "Alankomaat".
