I spent a very pleasant 45 minutes yesterday listenting to the album Rediscovered by Howard Tate for the first time in an age.
He sadly passed in December 2011 at the age of 72 and he had a quite extraordinary back story which I touched on here.
I thought that for today that I should maybe post something a little lighter and my thoughts turned to Tate & Lyle who are most famous as a sugar producer.
Time then for a couple of Tate songs and a couple of Lyle songs.
In the Tate corner we obviously have Howard himself with the song Mama Was Right. He is joined by Little Man Tate and Reflection in His Sunglasses.
Lyle Lovett was the obvious Lyle choice and here he is with L.A. County. Finally we are off to Largs to catch up with Gallagher & Lyle with Heart on my Sleeve.
I hope this is sweet enough for you and that it doesn't rot your teeth too much.

Will you be doing further sugar-based posts?
