It was sad to read the news of the death of the legendary Reggae drummer Sly Dunbar at the age of just 73.
Along with the late bassist Robbie Shakespeare the Ribbin Twins were undoubtedly the greatest Rhythm Section in Reggae and indeed one of the all time greats in any musical genre
Grace Jones, Bob Dylan, Serge Gainsbourg, Ian Dury, Mick Jagger - you name them, Sly and Robbie enhanced their music.
As the Tom Tom Club sang Reggae's expanding with Sly and Robbie .
Sadly no more. Rest easy Sly.
