2025 Charity Shop Purchases # 45 - The Verra Cruz - Soul Collides CDsingle
A bit of a faux pas with my latest charity purchase as I confuse St Albans rock trio The Verra Cruz with Glasgow Americana band Vera Cruise. Easily done as you can imagine. Still it was only 50p so no real harm done.
The Verra Cruz formed in 2003 and have released 2 albums and an EP.. The Soul Collides CD single is from 2004 and is on the Crazeltown label. The first two tracks are a bit too rocky for me but I quite liked Rise. Not enough though for this to be a keeper.
Vera Cruise were from the same period with their album Come Alone and Fall Apart released by Loose Records in 2004. I have the album and saw them a couple of times back in the day. They have appeared here before most notably as part of my Tartan Texans series from as far back as 2014

Not music related but at one point Tom Cruise was romantically linked with Penelope Cruz. Luckily for her, she got out of that liaison fast.
