2025 Charity Shop Purchases # 47 -Bob Dylan & the Band - The Basement Tapes
In addition to the two recently featured Volumes of Bob Dylan's Bootleg Series as part of my Newton Stewart haul I picked up a clunky copy of 1975's The Basement Tapes to replace my burn completely forgetting that I had bought a vinyl copy in 2002 for the very same reason. Three copies seems a bit excessive so the burn has been binned.
A two CD job it came in one of those large jewel cases but I managed to transfer it to a smaller double CD case what with space being at a premium and all.
If you are a Dylan fan at all you will be aware of this collaboration with The Band recorded in the basement of Big Pink which had previously only existed in a bootleg format.
