On the back of Jason & the Scorchers appearance on yesterday's Saturday Shuffle I felt the urge to listen to the compilation Viva Americana in it's entirity
From 1998 on the Boka label I bought it along with its sister New Highway from the much missed Salvation Sounds record shop in Shawlands. There are few better as an introduction to some of the lesser known Americana acts
I an seriously tempted to subject you all to it in its entirety over the next few Sundays but that may just be self indulgence on my part.
While I swither about this here are three belters to whet your appetite.
