1967 - Vacations in the Past

It seems to be a thing these days for artists to reinterpret other people's songs.

For years Rod Stewart has been busy murdering The Great American Songbook.  Up here Karine Polwart has released Karine Polwart's Scottish Songbook and The Golden Tree (Grahame Skinner and Bobby Bluebell) have given us Scottish Songs Observed Volumes 1 &2.

In most cases some songs work and others don't .The latest to get in on the act is Robyn Hitchcock with 1967- Vacations in the Past and his interpretation of 12 songs from that year - see Bandcamp

In fairness to the great man he released it to accompany his Memoir 1967: How I Got There and Why I Never Left. I suspect that will be well worth a read.

Talking of great men I wonder what Uber fan The Swede makes of it all?

Me? I refer you to the above. Some work and others don't
