The answer to Rol's latest wonderful Saturday Snapshots was, and I quote, A Colourful Bouquet of Songs About Flowers.
One of the answers to the pictures and cryptic clues was Karine Polwart with the song Azalea Flower. In the comments I suggested that her song Daisy could also have featured but it turns out that this particular Daisy is a small child rather that a flower.
I feel that it still merits a post so here it is with other associated Daisies courtesy of The Frank and Walters, Big Star and Matthew Sweet.
It is Spring after all.
Now picturing you and Mrs CC on a bicycle made for two.
ReplyDeleteBeen a while since I listened to Daisy Chain, what a tune.
ReplyDeleteKarine Polwart's 'Daisy' always reminds me of a very good friend of mine, who was working at the time in vineyards in Northern Italy. I'd sent him music from home throughout his time there and he emailed to tell me he had had to literally pull his tractor over at work, as on listening to the lyrics of Daisy he broke down in tears s it chimed so will with his (then toddler) daughter. As a parent myself, still gets me EVERY time too. Marcofaegla
