It's the 1st of May today - the start of Spring and hopefully of good weather.
If you can take yourself away from the Maypole I have some mainly folky and pastorial songs for you today.
In years past I sometimes featured Imelda May on this day but I thought I would go for something more gentle as you could do yourself a mischief dancing around a maypole to her songs.
As an old school lefty I have always celebrated this day as International Workers' Day and yet it is hardly referred to as such these days. Tell me where and how things went and have gone so wrong. Harrumph!! I'm hoping people return to their senses before too long. It's the hope that kills, I know
