I hadn't heard those tracks you shared, so thanks for that<br />Chrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09395044055566348346noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5834198189370622587.post-19620445325590371572015-12-05T02:24:30.273+00:002015-12-05T02:24:30.273+00:00Just love Joan Armatrading, but for some reason sh...Just love Joan Armatrading, but for some reason she seems to have been forgotten in recent years. Her greatest hits collection Love and Affection Classics (1975-1983) is a good place to start but all her first half dozen albums contain great songs. My personal favourite non-single track is Barefoot and Pregnant although Dry Land pushes it close. When there's so much pap these days, it's hard to credit that the talent she possessed in spades, seemingly counts for naught.Spencenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5834198189370622587.post-9460725981790021332015-12-01T15:22:06.238+00:002015-12-01T15:22:06.238+00:00Patience dear boy, patiencePatience dear boy, patienceCharity Chichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12049726176497694026noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5834198189370622587.post-48970894600330058212015-12-01T13:42:09.315+00:002015-12-01T13:42:09.315+00:00I was hoping for some Stranraer Americana!I was hoping for some Stranraer Americana!Georgehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12140350486850944468noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5834198189370622587.post-27498357934046628002015-12-01T10:48:52.078+00:002015-12-01T10:48:52.078+00:00When I first got a job behind the counter of a rec...When I first got a job behind the counter of a record shop in the early 80's, one of my co-workers played Joan Armatrading a lot and I've retained a fondness for her work from that period.
