Charlie is one of the greats in my opinion and could turn his hand to pretty much anything. 'Feel Like Going Home' is the pick of the bunch, but if you fancy hearing his version of 'When Something Is Wrong With My Baby' - actually recorded before Sam & Dave's hit - let me knowErnie Gogginshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01044812993148040730noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5834198189370622587.post-70585919174402976752017-07-22T02:15:20.892+01:002017-07-22T02:15:20.892+01:00In MY 1970s it wasn't 'acceptable' to ...In MY 1970s it wasn't 'acceptable' to like anything Country & Western (aesthetes can argue whether this is C&W or just Country) but I wasn't alone of course in having undisclosed exceptions! After purchasing their excellent "music centre" from our local Electrical Retailer (otherwise known as the TV Shop) they treated themselves to this album from the meagre selection in a rack at the back of the shop. A lot of country music was enjoyed in rural Aberdeenshire at that time and there were also a lot of sideburns on display, so they were totally on point.

Thanks for posting.Alysonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15671033552961486737noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5834198189370622587.post-78521612769092913212017-07-16T12:28:27.879+01:002017-07-16T12:28:27.879+01:00The Walkabouts version of Feel Like Going Home is,...The Walkabouts version of Feel Like Going Home is, some might say, better than the Mr Rich'sGeorgehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12140350486850944468noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5834198189370622587.post-89910007910536446832017-07-16T12:20:03.186+01:002017-07-16T12:20:03.186+01:00Nick Lowe bows to no man; with the exception of Ri...Nick Lowe bows to no man; with the exception of Rich.
Feel Like Going Home is just perfect, I quite agree.John Meddhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10547777949324509522noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5834198189370622587.post-89780681205039266952017-07-16T10:16:39.979+01:002017-07-16T10:16:39.979+01:00The solo piano version of 'I Feel Like Going H...The solo piano version of 'I Feel Like Going Home', on the b-side of the 'Most Beautiful Girl' single, is the song I want played at my funeral. The Swedehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13237251779370596904noreply@blogger.com
